Top Ten Tuesday #1 (9/6/11)

"Top Ten Tuesday" is a weekly book blogger meme hosted by

"This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!"

This is my first time participating in "Top Ten Tuesday," so I hope I'm doing this right! <crosses fingers>

This week's list is about THE TOP TEN SEQUELS I'M DYING TO READ:

1. THE IRON KNIGHT (IRON FEY, #4) by Julie Kagawa - I adore the Iron Fey series and I'm truly dying to read the last book in the series! Just have to wait until late October...

2. THE RIFT WALKER (VAMPIRE EMPIRE, #2) by Clay and Susan Griffith - (Out today!) The first book, The Greyfriar, was really awesome, and I already have a copy of the sequel. I just need time to read it after I get over my reader burn-out. <laughs> [See my review of The Greyfriar (Vampire Empire, #1) here]

3. LINGER (THE WOLVES OF MERCY FALLS, #2) by Maggie Stiefvater - I loved the first book, Shiver, and now I have the rest of the trilogy, so I'm going to dive in once I get a chance... [See my review of Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #1) here]

4. TORN (TRYLLE TRILOGY, #2) by Amanda Hocking - The first book, Switched, is really good and one of my favorite reads this year. I can't believe I still haven't gotten to the secondbook in this series. Been so busy! [See my review for Switched (Trylle Trilogy, #1) here]

5. WEAVING DESTINY (THE SOULKEEPERS, #2) by G.P. Ching - The first book is really clever, really well-written, so I'm looking forward to reading my ARC of the second book, Weaving Destiny. [See my review of The Soulkeepers, #1 here]

6. TORMENT (FALLEN, #2) by Lauren Kate - I just barely finished listening to an audio CD of Fallen, and it was really good, despite my not expecting to like it. I want to know what's going on with these characters!

7. CITY OF ASHES (THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS, #2) by Cassandra Clare - Another first book I just finished was City of Bones, and I liked it, and already bought myself a copy of the second book, City of Ashes. What's up with Clary and Jace, seriously?!

8. UNTITLED (A WITCH RISING, #2) by Jayde Scott - The first book, Black Wood, was very cool, very Middle-Grade-esque, and I'm awaiting the release of the second book, which seems to be untitled for the time being. [See my review of Black Wood (A Witch Rising, #1) here]

9. UNTITLED (DARK SEEKER, #1) by Taryn Browning - The prequel is really cute with some great characters. I don't know when the first regular novel will get published, but I'm sure it will be pretty awesome when it does. [See my review of "Dark Beauty" (Dark Seeker, #1) here]

10. INSURGENT (DIVERGENT, #2) by Veronica Roth - I shouldn't even mention this book series because it's not a fantasy novel (it's dystopian sci-fi, actually), but I really loved this book and I can't wait to read the sequel when it comes out next year! Not to even mention the movie...

  6. City of Ashes was on my list too... I also had Linger for ages before I got around to reading it, but when I did I really enjoyed it. I have The Iron Knight on my Kindle, hopefully it will be read soon.
