On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City
and runs every Saturday. It's where you list all the books you
desperately want but haven't actually bought yet. They can be old, new
or forthcoming. It's also an event that you can join in with too - Mr
Linky is always at the ready for you to link your own 'On My Wishlist'
post. Want to know more? Click here.
So, here's my OMW post for this week's meme. I've already purchased two of the books on my list from last week! (But, I need to ban myself. I'm going broke.)
MY BLOODY WISHLIST
Blood Will Tell (Warriors of Ankh, #1)
by Samantha Young
Hello, handsome fellow gracing the cover! But, seriously, this is a self-published title that sounds fantastic, and everybody's raving about it. I've read just a little of the beginning and it's making me feel inadequate as a writer, as I head into NaNoWriMo next month. That must mean it's quite impressively written. It's only $0.99 as an ebook, but I've banned myself from buying anymore books for the time being.
Blood (Mercian Trilogy, #1)
by K. J. Wignall
Well, if it isn't another handsome fellow gracing the cover! This is a vampire book about a broody, old guy who looks perpetually sixteen. That could be enough to brood over, but I'd rather be stuck at sixteen than sixty for the rest of my immortal life.
Bloodspell (Bloodspell, #1)
by Amalie Howard
This one's about a witch and a old journal. It sounds interesting and there's good talk of this one. I love the cover, too. I love these sepia-toned covers for some reason.
That's my On My Wishlist wishlist. What's on yours?
Blood looks REALLY good! Thanks for stopping by my blog this morning:)
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of Bloodspell - especially with Halloween coming up! I haven't read any witch books for ages! :)

.99 cents for Blood Will Tell! That cover is worth the spend! Come on Cathy!! I probably shouldn't enable you should I :P Can't wait for NaNoWriMo to start. I just wish outlining wasn't so boring.
ReplyDeleteThanks, everyone! You are all so sweet....
ReplyDelete@Lan: Don't enable me!!! Ah!! Lol, just kidding. I'm willing to buy my books, but I going to make myself read them right away, if I buy them. I always take forever to get around to reading most books I buy, and that's SO bad! So, I won't buy a book unless I'm willing to read it right away...
Same here for NaNo. My character interview questions are hard, but my plot outline is finished already. I'm only writing a 10,000 word short story. There's no way I have the energy for a 50,000 word novel in a month.
Are you going to be putting up your character interviews for us to read? 50,000 is a very daunting number but if I don't get it done I can see myself not doing anything. I have the same habit with buying books too. Everything is a rush until you buy it and then when you've got it you feel like you have all the time in the world to read it so you don't!
ReplyDelete@Lan: I wasn't planning on publishing those character interview questions. They are rather long and I can't imagine anyone wants to read them. I barely want to answer them!
ReplyDeleteIf you want to see them, then I can send them to you. Just let me know. I'd be happy to send you the main character's, since that's what'll be done by Nov. 1st. I can even send you the PDF of the interview ?'s template.
I'm wishing for the latest book by Susan Orlean. Please come see what it is.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to read the interviews! You know my email.
